Text Message Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
CallSam AI answers phone calls for small businesses (our "clients"), such as plumbers, salons, auto shops and professional offices. This page explains the text messages we send on their behalf.
Who gets texts, and how they agree
- Callers. A caller phones the business and asks for an appointment, a quote or a callback. During the call, Sam (the AI receptionist) asks for the best number to reach them and tells them they will get a text confirming the details. The caller agrees on the call, and the call is recorded. A caller can also start a conversation by texting the business's line first.
- Business owners. When a business signs up for CallSam AI, the owner gives their mobile number and agrees to receive alerts about their calls and bookings.
We never buy or rent phone numbers, and we never send marketing or promotional texts to callers.
What the texts say
- Appointment confirmations: "Coastline Plumbing: you're booked for Tue Nov 4 at 10:00 a.m. at 12 Elm St. Reply C to confirm or call us to change. Reply STOP to opt out."
- Reminders the day before an appointment.
- Replies to questions the caller asked, and follow-up on a quote they requested.
- Alerts to the business owner: "New booking: Emma Clark, leaking water heater, Tue 10:00 a.m."
Each text names the business it is sent for.
Frequency, cost and opting out
- Message frequency varies with the caller's request, usually 1 to 4 messages per appointment.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts. Reply HELP for help, or call Sam 24/7 at 778-743-1792, or email hello@callsamai.com.
